School's out forever (almost)!

Today were the last real classes of my academic career. I still have tests next week, but the lectures are over. I'm not really that happy about it. I've been a student for so long that I'm not quite sure how to be anything else. I know how to "do" school. Give me your class syllabus, lecture me, give me your stinkin' test and stand back! I hope I can handle on-the-job training!

School may be out, but the real learning is just beginning . . .

But celebrate tonight!

In the real world, takin' tests and acing quizes doesn't bring home the bacon...

But a lot of good bacon does me... my wife can't even stand to eat bacon since she has been pregnant!

Or smell bacon...she's hates the stuff. One night when she was gone to a church activity for a few hours I cooked myself up some bacon in secret, but I forgot about how the smell stays in the house for hours.

When she opened the door, her face dropped and she growled through clenched teeth at me, "bacon?!"

I overstated her anger a little bit, she forgave me pretty quick, but I did get in trouble...

Sorry, this post had nothing to do with bacon until I brought it up.

Congrats, Jeff! And lots of luck for these next years of learning. You're well on your way to becoming a fine medical practitioner.

I have to say that while I do not like bacon (the meat of the pig), I do like the "bacon" (the flow of the cash) that Tyler brings home. :)

About bacon: The kids and I are big fans, and Elizabeth is a fair weather fan.

But the real point is that I can bring home the literal and figurative bacon, and I can also put the bird on the table--a turkey that is.

None of y'all ain't never bagged no bird. That's what makes a real man.

Jeff, your posting has been hijacked by bacon . . .

Definitely celebrate! You have reached a milestone. I think you will really enjoy your clinical experience.

Wow, that went by fast...was this an accelerated program in Med school and I missed that somehow? With my steel-trap like mind? I must be getting old...

Congrats Jeff, it's wonderful that you've finished...onto your clinical experience, and best of luck with that too.

Now, if only I could get my stinkin' BFA already...*sigh*.
